About MD Design & Automation
MD Design & Automation is a short-run design, machine shop, and full-service located in west bend, Wisconsin. Our team works closely with a wide range of clients, partnering with organizations across the Midwest, Wisconsin, the US, and internationally, providing quick, affordable, & efficient machining, design, and inspection services. We machine, design, prototype, reverse-engineer, inspect, lathe, grind, and finish a wide variety of projects using CNC (computer numeric control) and manual methods, coordinate-measuring machine (CMM), and wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM).
What do we do?
Md design & automation has the full capability along with the expertise to manufacture any design, from a prototype to a high-volume production model. Our facility is equipped to produce extremely accurate machined parts, including precision components and assemblies. It features high-speed horizontal and vertical machining centers, as well as fully automatic inspection equipment.
The manufacturing industry faces two problems due to its massive production. First, the produced equipment has a short lifespan because it is either beyond obsolescence or requires frequent maintenance.

Inspection services
We offer inspection services that include certified high-precision testing, 100% inspection, and tight tolerance inspection, as well as surface finish evaluation and defect analysis.
